In the late 1800s, Nedou's Hotel Gulmarg was established by Michael Adam Nedou and quickly gained popularity among British aristocrats, colonial government officials, and foreign travelers who would spend their summers in the hill station indulging in activities such as golfing, fishing, and trekking in the Pir Panjal mountain ranges.For over a century, since its inception in 1888, Nedou's Hotel Gulmarg has remained a notable establishment in Gulmarg, and continues to be the hub of all activity in the hill station.
