Sonmarg, which means “meadow of gold” in literal terms, experiences a broad bloom of golden crocuses in the spring. In the northeast of Srinagar, Sonmarg or Sonamarg is a popular high-altitude picnic spot. The renowned “three sisters,” a collection of rivers, are found there (the Lidder, Sind and the Neelum). Additionally, it is a well-liked starting place for hikes to the Thajiwas Glacier. This beautiful meadow is home to the enticing Doodh Ganga River, which is so beautiful that you will want to live here forever. Apple orchards, Sufi shrines, lush pastures, deep forests, and snowcapped mountains will captivate your imagination. Furthermore, the Yusmarg slopes are a fantastic site to ski in the winter. The splendour of nature is truly enjoyable in the summertime with mesmerising nature hikes.
