What is Ningle Nallah?

Ningli Nallah, a glacial stream of fresh and chilled water, located in the Baramulla district, finds itself some 10 kilometres from the Gulmarg hill station. The Nallah sources from the Alpather Lake and glaciers of the Apharwat mountain, both of which are situated in Gulmarg.

Ningli Nallah has become recently a place of attraction, mainly among the lesser-visited places of Kashmir. The main attraction of the nallah is the Shranz Waterfall, a small waterfall on the Ningli stream. We will discuss all the details of the Shranz Waterfall below. This waterfall is surely among the most serene spots near Gulmarg.

How to reach?

Being 10 kilometres away from Gulmarg, the Ningli Nallah falls in the area of Baba Reshi. The shrine of Baba Reshi is famous among the Sufi section of the Kashmiri population. It is the highly revered resting abode of Baba Payam ud din Reshi. You can reach the Ningli Nallah by a well-paved road. A smooth drive in a taxi from Gulmarg or Tangmarg will take you around 20 minutes to reach the Ningle Nallah Gulmarg.

This waterfall, sometimes known as Ningli waterfall or Baba Reshi waterfall is the main attraction of the Ningli Nallah. It has become a tourist attraction recently and is getting fame with every passing day. The waterfall of Shranz is a small one, passing through big granite boulders. It is covered in dense forests and mountain terrain. The serene sound of the stream and calls of the wild birds create a magical moment in the Ningle Nallah landscapes.
