Sinthan Top / Sinthan Pass
Sinthan Top is a mountain top, traversed by a pass called the Sinthan Pass. It is an alpine mountaintop located at an elevation of 3,792 meters. Sinthan Top is best experienced from June to September. At this time you don’t need to worry about hefty snow and bad weather. How to reach?
Sinthan Top is situated 134 kilometres from Srinagar city. It is a smooth drive up to Daksum and afterwards are curves and cuts waiting for you. Not a big deal though because of the good road condition. You can take a taxi from Vailoo village straight up to the top.
From the Kishtwar district of Jammu, the top is situated 80 metres away. You can take a taxi from the Kishtwar Bus Stand. You can enjoy the Sinthan Top viewpoints in the ascend from Kishtwar in a local cab as well.
Accommodations
There are no accommodations for tourists at the Sinthan Top. This is because of the remoteness of the area. Although it is a good place for a camping adventure in one of the high-altitude passes in Kashmir.
